Hi there my name is Kimberly, I am a local Walden resident with years of experience in helping seniors throughout the entire aging process. Both my education and professional background is elder care, with great emphasis in the areas of companionship and hospice care. (a little about myself) In 2010 I earned an associates degree in social services graduating *Phi Beta Kappa. In 2009, I was awarded volunteer of the year for American Hospice Conroe Branch. (currently The Lighthouse) Professionally, I've enjoyed being an Activity Director for one of Conroe's finest independent senior living communities. I specialize in lifting spirits and helping seniors remain active and independent.
I am a very loyal, caring, and compassionate person. It gives me great joy to be able to help someone in there time of need. I started my caregiving journey in 2001. I went to CNA school and became a CNA at that time. I worked in a nursing home for 2 years then went to work at a hospital for 5 years. After that I started my journey being a one on one caregiver. And I have helped people in there home for the past 10 years. I enjoy what I am able to do for the patients and there families.
I chose caregiving base on my personality type. I am passionate, caring, honest, trustworthy, and like helping people. My ground mother was one reason why i became a caregiver. There was a time when she could not help herself i was there to help her till she pass on. She had told me that i could be a good caregiver or nurse and when i did chose this career i am enjoining every part of it. I have worked as a caregiver for four to five years and i have had any problem because i see those patient as my families. Furthermore, Honesty is one key that is driving me. I love what am doing and i love my job as a caregiver.
I'm a nice, outgoing and caring caregiver who loves to listen to old stories from the elderly. I'm very patient and dependable. also I'm very attentive to changes with love ones. I've always had a passion to work with people that have Alzheimer and dementia, they are loving people. The thing I love most about being a caregiver is being able to assist someone who is in need of my help. Helping others I think has always been my calling so I chose to work with the elderly. A personal achievement that I am proud of is going through an Alzheimer's and Dementia training and getting to experience real life struggles that they deal with

I love doing meal preparation, making it healthy and delicious. I work with seniors that have good mobility but need just a little stabilization especially during bathing. I love running them around doing errands. In addition I have worked with Hospice clients making their last days and weeks peaceful.

Hi, My name is DeDe. Being a caregiver for 10+ years has really helped me in so many ways. When my great grandmother was really sick and my family had a hard time finding help, I took it upon myself to take care of her until she passed away. This experience led me to my true passion. I have worked in private homes, group homes, etc. My desire is for excellence, quality and most importantly "LIFE", and to provide individualized care to each of my clients with the utmost dignity and respect. I enjoy the opportunity to impact my clients' lives in a positive way. I appreciate the chance to get to know clients and their families and become an integral part of their lives. I always give 100% and do the best job I can with no exceptions and no excuses. I take care of my clients physically, mentally and emotionally to enable them to have the best quality of life possible. "It's very rewarding to know that you are making a positive difference in someone's life."
I became a caregiver to help people, to make a difference in someone's life. The best part of being a caregiver is knowing you were there to help someone in need (being needed). My biggest achievement was moving to Texas and taking the CNA class.I took care of my mother for 4 years after she had a couple strokes and was diagnosed with MS. I knew then taking care of others was my gift from God. I Love what I do. I am a single mother of 3 sons whom are all grown, I have 3 beautiful grandkids. I've lived in Houston for 6 years and have been employed with the same hospital for 5 years. I have also worked in assisted living as well as home health. I enjoy helping others and take pride in making others feel better.
The reason I became a caregiver is because when I was younger I took care of my grandmother and feel in love with the fact me taking care of someone with a passionate heart like mines. What I like most about being a caregiver is I love helping people. My personal achievement I'm proud of is that if I put a smile on my clients face my job has been done. As long as they are happy I'm happy. Hard worker, dependable, motivated, trust worthy, family oriented, great cook I'm very dependable, hard worker, motivated, family oriented and a person that gets the job done with no problem.
I am a devout Christian. Caregiving is my passion. I have been a Nurse/Caregiver for 30+ years. I am 8 credits away from an R.N. degree, though not currently enrolled in school. I have contributed to a successful nursing facility through excellent/professional care, referrals and word of mouth. And that, I am proud of! Due to having a burden for people, I am always compelled to help those in need. As a Caregiver, I have always assisted children and elderly, the like. I was a Therapeutic Foster Parent for 8 years, having had the toughest cases to meet me at my doorstep. The challenges brought sweet rewards. I originally became a Caregiver when I assisted my mother with activities of daily living for mentally challenged, teenaged boys. It was so natural for me, that I immediately knew, this was my calling. I do my very best to meet all the needs of each individual, thereby, going above and beyond the call of duty. I have never been in trouble, of any kind. I never have: drink/smoke/profanity/drugs/alcohol/diseases/partying or anything of the such. I am very active in the church. I am very passionate about serving others, and even randomly assist my sister, who has MS, when she visits TX. I have a broad range of experience from MS, ALS, MSA, Cancer Recovery, Autism, Parkinson, and so much more!I've been helping others for 31 years, non-stop! I'm here to help your loved one live AT home, not IN a home! All of these aspects mentioned above, and many more, makes me an awesome Caregiver!
