What makes me a great caregiver is that I am able to relate to the needs of my clients base on individuality. I am very compassionate towards my clients. I try my very best to understand their needs and find a solution to it. I became a caregiver not only to help people who are at a disadvantage but rather because I care about people and enjoy being a part of their lives. For many years I've lived away from my father, but the moment I received a phone call that he had a stroke I dropped everything and went to care for him until he recovered. That alone shows how caring and concern I am about people who are unable to care for themselves. What I like about being a caregiver is the fact that I am able to bring a smile on the faces of my clients no matter what moods they are in for that particular day. I go to an extended mile to make sure that their needs are met and that they are taken good care of and happy. One personal achievement I am proud of is being able to graduate college. Both my parents are illiterate and for me to be the first out of four siblings to go to college and graduate was a very good accomplishment for me. And with what I have learned and experience I will continue to strive in what I love the most; that is helping people.

I like being a caregiver because I love to take care of people. I feel that this is my calling and Jesus is working through me to let people know that they are loved and deserve the best care. I have over 15 years of experience. God bless

Hello, First I'd like to share a few things about my experiences as a CNA/caregiver. I have always been a nurturing person first as a child and continuing through adulthood, It brings me great pleasure to help everyone I can. I started my career in 1993 by attending a State licensed class and being state certified to work as such. I have continued my education for 28 years now and I am told I bring great skill set to many homes and individuals. I have worked as a CNA in Hospitals, Home Health, Physical Rehabilitation Centers, Nursing Homes and Private Duty Requests. I enjoy them all. I've worked with Hospice,Alzheimer's, dementia, diabetes, strokes, obesity, bed bound clients such a paraplegic and quadriplegic, ALS clients, PTSD clients, schizophrenia clients, post surgical and more. I offer help with ADLs, showers, bed baths, exercise, meal preparation, vital sign checks, medication reminders, doctor appointments, and more.

Ive been a caregiver for about 15yrs. I love what i do. I have worked for mentally ill adults, senior citizens as well as Alzheimer dementia clients. I have experience with spinal injuries and ms clients. I have worked with colostomy bags urinals, hoya lifts medicine etc. Im also always willing to learn. Im kind soft hearted loving caring. Great listener hard worker. I am very reliable and always on time. I have references and a resume if needed.

Hello my name is Shantel and what makes me a good caregiver is my personality I love helping people who needs assistance with everyday task. I love putting a smile on my client face and keeping them motivated to enjoy there life the best way they can with assistance. Why I became a caregiver is because it was in my heart to do and because it takes patience and understanding in an individual who once did many things in there life before reaching this chapter in there life. I have been in the healthcare field over nine years. I am currently going to school now for my CNA... I lobes being a Caregiver. It's where my heart and passion at. I am a passionate and experienced individual for the elderly and all mankind. I became a nurse aid just to try something different. I never dreamed that 20 yrs. later I would still be doing this as well as enjoying it, but I have learned so much along the way and the experience is priceless. In all the years I have pretty much worked in every area of healthcare. I started out in a nursing facility then went to a hospital, then home health, hospice, neuro-recovery facility, mental health, pediatrics, geriatrics, alzheimers/dementia, ALS, TBI pediatrics, etc... I take pride in my work and care about my patients as if they were my own family, all while maintaining respect, privacy, dignity and having empathy for them as well as their families. I try to put myself in the other shoes. I know there's alot of "caring" people out there but I believe the true genuine people are few and very far between.
