I have had the privilege of caring for both of my parents, my uncle, and many wonderful people over the years. I am a certified Death Doula, but prefer to be considered a companion and guide. I believe everyone should be treated with dignity, patience, compassion, and empathy. I look at caregiving as a calling, and not a job. You are a stranger entering a family that is in a vulnerable time, and trust needs to be built. Once I build that trust, I consider my clients more like family than anything, because I will treat others how I would want my family members and loved ones treated.
