What helps me to be a great caregiver is that I ask, listen to, and respect my patient's requests and opinions. I was drawn to caregiving because of my close relationship to my chronically ill grandmother and losing my grandfather to cancer at the age of 12. The satisfaction I receive from knowing I provide care and compassion for my clients is what I enjoy most about caregiving. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is raising 3 children to maturation as a single mother. I recently remarried and expanded my family to 6 children.
