Hello, my name is Desiree. As a child I watched my Dad be a CNA for hospice. I was very touched by how my dad made such a difference in the lives that he came in contact with at work, and I wanted to do the same. For 3 years I was a Direct Support Professional for adults who have mental and/or physical disabilities. I was then a Caregiver for 2 years. Being a Caregiver has its challenges, but helping someone maintain their independence keeps me motivated.
