Duties include: Investigating reports of abuse, neglect and exploitation of elderly or disabled adults to assess the urgency of the problem by interviewing clients, family members and others to gather social, functional, physical and mental-emotional information for evaluation. Provide services after normal working hours and on weekends to maintain 24 hour coverage, including receiving reports of alleged abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Determining temporary or long-term action to be taken to remove or lessen an immediate threat to the life or health of an adult protective services client to include counseling clients and caregivers, providing information and referral services, testifying in court to seek emergency protective services, finding alternate housing when necessary, and providing on-going services. Developing individualized service plans to meet the needs of the adult protective services client and maintains detailed documentation on each case. Performs other duties as assigned and required to maintain unit operations. Promoting and demonstrating appropriate respect for cultural diversity among coworkers and all work-related contacts. Assisted licensed therapist with patient exercises , treatments and muscle stimulants. Performed front office transactions, such as appointments and medical charts.

Duties include: Screening patients for various clinics that include dermatology, proctology, surgery, vascular, renal, and burns. Assess patient information that includes history of diagnoses, primary complaint and any other concerns that may pertain to the visit. Provide bedside assistance as needed with physician. Send biopsies to lab and prepare for next clinic. Keep up-to-date information for primary providers through out the day. Emergency Room Technician Duties include: Assist doctors, nurses and other staff members with direct care of various types of patients that include county inmate who are presented for suicide attempts, overdose, trauma and other safety concerns. Operate busy switchboard. Transfer patient orders between hospital staff. Escort patients to and from medical procedures. Record daily vitals in patient medical records, while understanding the importance of patient privacy and HIPPA rules and regulations. Collect specimens, perform CPR and EKG's, Phlebotomy, and assist in patient and/or family crisis. Ability to remain calm under extremely violent or stressful interpersonal situations. Trained in alternative measures of how to deal with aggression with patients and co-workers.

Assist doctors, nurses, and other staff member with direct care of various types of patients. Transport patient to and from different procedures. Answer call lights and attend to patient needs. Ability to interact with prisoners and patients confined to their rooms due to contagious diseases.
