My name is Chastity. I began caregiving at 15 when my grandmother had surgery and no-one wanted to help her during recovery. I later went to college to pursue a certification to open my own daycare and while doing so i became a caregiver through the Illinois Department of Rehabilitation services working with clients with Autoimmune diseases and later moving on to comfort keepers being a companion. I love being a caregiver because it makes me feel food knowing that im helping out someone who can't do much for themselves and im also working on giving them a sense of independence again. Of all of the different fields I've worked in I can honestly say being a caregiver has been my favorite, the clients I've worked with have taught me so much and ive built family-like bonds with each of them.
