I started off as a caregiver and got my medication administration qualification. I was promoted to a Life Enrichment Coordinator. Once I was finished with my marketing class in college, I received a role as a Move in Coordinator at a brand new community. I was then promoted to a Memory Care Director then made my was to an Life Enrichment Director . I was able to really learn some things from my previous role as a Resident Care Coordinator . I had a Independent Living community reach out to me to become a Life Enrichment Director for their community . I know I will miss being a companion and caregiver so this is why I'm here ! I am an ambitious , knowledgeable caregiver who has a gentle touch and patience for Alzheimer's Disease and other forms of Dementia . I love finding ways to build a routine for these folks and coming up with Activity's that will enhance their quality of life . I have been through the Dementia Practitioner training . I love being able to make my clients feel comfortable , loved , and to bring a smile to their face . They have lived their lives and they deserve the best care & more importantly a friend who will have empathy , patience , and experience on an circumstance that will come about . My growth in the medical field is one of my best achievements. I have been able to understand a lot of roles . I am still learning , but my best teachers have been my residents /clients.
