Hello. I didn't know it but in 2004 I began my career as a CNA. My brother was diagnosed with COPD and my Mother & I took care of John until his passing in October 2011. But in 2004 I also started working for an elderly couple in the Broadmoor area. I mainly worked with the male client the most, of course. I helped Jake with getting dressed, taking baths, eating and daily exercises (both physical and mental). Jake was a great man but he passed away at 91 years old in 2012. Now just three days before his passing, the family asked me to work an overnight shift with a hospice nurse. I helped her with Jake that night and at the end of the shift, she told me I should go get my CNA certification because, she said, I was a natural. So I went to Nurse Nancy and was certified in April, 2013. Now I haven't worked for anyone but the family I've been working for since 2004. Mrs.W**** likes me very much but she has recently become ill to where I'm just not sure what's going to happen,so I thought I'd better start applying.I am certified until 2/2016 and I have really good references. One of them is from a daughter of the couple I've been working for the last ten years. She works at one of the biggest hospitals in Denver as the Chief Patient Experience Officer and she will tell you how much her parent's have enjoyed having me their with them. A brief description of myself. I am 53 years old, 6'1" tall, weigh 200 pounds, brown hair with hazel-green eyes. I am able to lift 75 pounds or more.
