I like working with people who need assistance.One of my patients just needed some extra attention while living in a LTC facility, and I was able to help her to get better and go home. That was such a joyous occasion! She was not very old, and working with her was very easy. I have been caring for people since I was 12 yrs old. One lady was a friend of my great grandma who was paralyzed. She had some pics of her standing up between two of her friends. She was a tall lady. She always wanted me to care for her cats. I cared for a neighbor near my parents house. She only had one arm and needed help opening cans, sweeping, cooking and laundry in an old fashioned ringer washer.I have worked in WA and in CA as a CNA and had an EMT license to supplement my skills. I have also worked for a hospice company in CA. I cared for patients in their homes that had Alzheimers, Cancer, AIDS, and more. One patient I cared for in my home in a w/c who had Downs syndrome and Celiacs disease and no teeth. He had to see a nutritionist to find the proper diet which was mostly rice and meat.

By set menu instructions I set up nutritious snacks and drinks with drink machine. Delivered snacks to charge nurse of the hall and collected empty containers. Set up dining area and cleared it. Help feed patients as needed. Ran commercial dishwasher and put dishes and pans away correctly. Cleaned up area. Washed mats. Empty garbage at end of shift. Kept pantry clean and organized.

Old Fort Lewis Lodge

Clean and maintain 2-story, 144 room lodge barrack. Lodge had 2 hallways to dust and polish, day room with appliances to clean and mop with adjoining activity room with furniture and floors to clean. Occupied rooms were mopped, beds made with clean linen, fresh towels put in, appliances cleaned. Empty rooms were checked on and cleaned as needed. Stairway was swept. Rugs were shaken. Big suites were vacuumed. Foyers were swept and mopped. Walls were scrubbed and windows cleaned. Repairs in any room were noted down.
