I am a very compassionate person. I like to laugh and pepole tend to be very comfortable around me. I'm easy going, a hard worker , dependable and enjoy meeting new people . I love working in this field it provides so much joy to help others. I love being able to come alongside families and help them . I value the relationships I build along the way. My goal with my families is to allow them to be completely themselves, to help them in the areas they need help and to do things the way they want it done. It's a honor to be able to help and I am grateful to be invited into homes and allowed the opportunity to do so. I'm a natural caregiver I've done it throught my life with everyone I meet I find out what there needs are and then find ways to help in some way. A major accomplishment in my life would be my two boys . My oldest is 23 and he is off to a great start in life . my youngest is 12, both my boys are respectful and caring guys with huge hearts always doing what they can for pepole. After over 30 years working in IT with computers, 10 years ago I reinvented myself in the healthcare field starting as a Certified Nurse Aide. I have been volunteering and working as a CNA and a Mental Health Tech since 2010. I love working with patients as well as children and being a nanny. Experience July 2017 - present: working on a med surg floor at Penrose Hospital for renal diabetic patients and others going thru withdrawal from drugs or alcohol. Oct - April 2017 : home health aide for Mary Wolcott, with food prep and light house cleaning, range of motion work for after surgery help. * Sept 2012 - Oct 2014 : Mental Health Tech at Peakview Behavioral Health. Duties included working with psychiatric patients (acute) Collaborates with physicians, psychiatric nurses and therapist in assessing, guiding and encouraging patients towards measurable therapeutic outcomes. Conducts both in / formal psycho-educational, recreational and interpersonal skills development groups. Observes and influences patient behaviors and interactions towards prescribed treatment goals.
