About Julian

I started helping my grandparents at a young age. I could relate to them, and would sit and listen to 78 rpm records, w/ my grandfather, and he would tell me stories about the music we listened to. I traveled around the World, w/ my parents at their families, and would have to help them in their needs. In 2000, I started working at Nursing Homes in Boulder, and have continued to this day. I can relate to the elderly, whether they are male or female. I like seeing them happy and pleased, when I have helped them in any way. The fact that I have been with various clients for over 6 yrs. continuously, before they have passed on. I live in Lafayette, Colo. Am a homeowner, am very religiously minded, and am always putting "other people first", before myself. I always think of the aspect of: "how would I feel, were I in the other individuals' shoes?" and how they would want to be treated?

Caregiver for gentleman in his home. for 2013.

Jan 2013 - Jan 2013
Maya Ananda. "Windows of the Sky Healing", of Boulder.
In December, 2012, I was contacted by: Maya Ananda, RN, to join a team to help assist in the care of an elderly gentleman, who was a close friend of her family. In January, Duane went back to his home, after recovering from surgery. There was never a single moment, when Duane was ever alone by himself. The family had great trust in our ability to help Duane, in his daily chores, from getting dressed, to eating to needing to go to Dr.'s appointments, etc. We were all there for him, up to the time he developed cancer, and left us in October of 2013. The number for Maya is: (303) 817-9503. I currently work with a lady who has mild Alzheimer's and I take her on outings through Boulder area, to Museum's , Nature walks, Art exhibits, and especially trips up to Estes Park, etc...The Number for The Appleleaf assisted Living Center where she lives, is: (970) 532-2600, ask for Pete Sevy.

Care Giver for Gentleman in Colorado Springs, CO.

Dec 2012 - Dec 2012
Self Employed (2012).
In April, 2012, my close friend's in Colorado Springs contacted me about a very good friend of theirs, who had recently had a stroke on the left side of his body. I was down there, to help with Steve and his recovery. He is a Vietnam Vet, and very devoted to our country and its Defense. As a Caregiver, I helped get Steve dress in the mornings, helped to feed him, when he could not do so himself. Was there for Steve and his wife, when they had to take him to the Doctor's office, and to assist him with his wheel chair or walker cane. Over time, Steve began to improve, and then was in a care facility, when He fell and injured himself quite severely. He was alone in the room, unassisted. He wound up needing serious medical care and was hospitalized for 5 or 6 months, after this fall. The number that He and his wife can be reached at, are: (719) 594-4721, or: (719) 660-4418. I am still in touch with Steve and his precious wife. We have mutual close friends we have known since the early 1980s.

Care giver for Gentleman, who was double amputee, from 2006 to 2012.

Dec 2006 - Dec 2012
Balfour Nursing Home, Louisville, Colorado 80027
I was working for two other couples, at: Balfour Nursing Home, in Louisville, Colorado, when a nice lady heard about my work with Mr. McHenry, and Mr. Ace Fukai. Her name was Kris Mattler, and her family had just moved from New York State, to be close to their daughter, who lived in Boulder. I was then introduced to Mr. Philip Mattler, and his wife Ana. Phil, was a double amputee, with diabetes. He met me, and I began to work for him and his wife, on a daily basis. I would help assist getting him in and out of the shower, help him get dressed, do their banking and grocery chores for them along with cleaning and making their beds, and doing their laundry. They were at Balfour for a year or so, and then moved down to The Villa at Sunny Acres, off 104th Ave. in Thornton, Colorado. I was with Phil and Anna Mattler every day, for six years, until Mrs. Mattler left us on February 12th, 2012, and then Mr. Mattler, did not wish to be alone, there and he decided to move back to Pennsylvania to be with his son, and their family. I had to help get all of Phil's belongings together and shipped back to the son's home, and then flew back with Phil in March of 2012. Mr. Mattler died of a heart attack, at his son's home in December of 2012. The reference I have for the "close family friend" of their daughter is: Dennis. If it were not for Dennis, the whole move would have been that much more difficult. His # is: (303) 513-9939.
