Experience & Education

Nanny/Babysitter

Mar 2016 - Present
Self-Employed
As a nanny, I have years of experience caring for children of all ages, from infants to preteens. In my previous role as daytime nanny to a busy family of two rambunctious children , I learned how difficult it can be to manage the varying needs of children in diverse stages of development. I honed the ability to care for each child individually, while paying close attention to the needs of the group. I am committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment for the children in my care. I take safety extremely seriously, and am trained and certified in childhood first-aid and CPR. I am also a long-standing member of the National American Association of Child Care Providers, and participate frequently in training seminars on the newest developments in the field of child care. I take just as serious my responsibilities as a nanny as a do a case provider.

It makes me a great caregiver because I care about my resident and I always make sure that they are getting the greatest care that they need. I became a caregiver because of my grandparents and also I love caring for other people. My personal achievement that I am proud of is being a Certified Nurse Aide and Medication Administration for 9 years and I run my own Memory Care Assisted Living for 2 years now. You can contact me via text or call or even email.

I have been a caregiver for ten years. I am 27 years old, so I have done this basically my entire career life. I became a caregiver for multiple reasons, a major one being that I am one of six children and know that caring needs to be done with compassion and precision. Another big reason is that almost all of the women in my family have been nurses, it is similar to a family business at this point, caring for people is in my blood. After completing the Certified Medical Assisting program in Towson, Maryland, I decided to further my medical career. I moved to Colorado to receive my Bachelors in Science of Nursing degree from the prestigious Integrated Nursing Program that is only offered in this state. I am currently attending Community College of Aurora for pre-requisites to join the allied Nursing Program at Denver University. My education is as important to me as my many years of experience and may only further my skill set. Empathy is something I believe to be crucial in this line of work. I will visit a client, take notes my first visit, so I can tentatively care for my people, while they or their family does not have to repeat instructions or where things go. I have worked in facilities and with agencies-nothing beats one-on-one. I am a Certified Medical Assistant of 2013 (that may be verified by logging onto AAMA website) with Basic Life Support CPR/AED/First Aid training that I re-certified April 12, 2017. Full Disclosure: I am looking specifically for an overnight position (10/11p-3/4a). With Tuesdays and Thursdays having no availability as I work another part-time job. Thank you for sitting through this! Please feel free to text or call. If I do not answer immediately, please leave your contact information and I will respond ASAP. I wish you endurance in finding a new caregiver, as I know it is a tedious task, but entirely worth the effort. -Charity
