
Hi , I'd love to discuss this position with you. I have experience with and greatly enjoy providing caregiving and/or companionship for those in need. In 2017-2018 I served as live-in companion/caregiver for the Austin-based singer-songwriter Jerry Jeff Walker as he recovered from throat cancer. After his cancer went into remission, I moved to Colorado in mid-2018 to care for my girlfriend's father, who had moderate Alzheimer's and have been caregiving ever since. (I just moved back to Austin last month.) Before I began caregiving I was a professional meditation teacher in Central Texas drug and alcohol treatment centers as well as a volunteer teacher in three nearby correctional institutions. In Denver I worked both as a property manager and part-time as a caregiver but am now looking to work in caregiving full time with several different clients. I'm quiet, caring, patient, drama-free, dependable, hard-working and very sensitive to the needs of others. I have a clean driving record, am COVID-vaccinated (up to date on boosters), CPR-certified, non-smoker, no vices and am great with all pets.
