Hello, I'm Nicole and I was raised In Germany and Denmark before moving to the USA with my mom in ...well a long time ago. Growing up in a diverse social service worker household, where my Summers and all my school breaks were spent in camps and day cares with kids/adults with special needs, I never considered a career in anything BUT taking care of others. I remember my Great grandma going through the stages of Alzheimers and not fully understanding this, but feeling that she needed lots of love. While so many people are unhappy about their employment I feel blessed to have mine. I'm happy to say that I love doing what I do and I get to do it 24/7It is not a job to me it is my life, my history and my future. I am a highly energetic woman and I love to bring joy to others. At the same time, I'm patient and compassionate and I respect that everyone's situation is unique and needs to be treated as such. I spent nearly 20 years in case management and I came to realize how much I missed Direct Care, especially after taking care of my daughter. One of my favorite sayings is " It is an honor to take care of the ones that once took care of us' I have many many years of experience in a very diverse Social Service background and I don't shy away from any responsibilities. I assist with implementing of a behavioral individual support plan, behavior analyst coordination, therapy, setting up and overseeing all medical appointments, making sure all medication management is completed, encouraging activities of daily living, teaching lifr skills. I became the private and part-time caregiver for my 20 year old daughter who went through AML with several life threatening complications and Stem Cell transplant. I assisted her with all adl's made sure that medical housing needs were taking care of, such as cleaning 24/7 come on grocery shopping to include a healthy and well-balanced diet. I also assisted her to do several infusions through her port. I monitored all her medications admininistration needs. Scheduling and transportation to all doctor appointments in Denver and Colorado Springs. I, Also had to monitor and document her vitals daily and report any changes in conditions.

My granny also known as my best friend had became very ill around 2013/2014 and my mother worked a full time job, she didn't have anyone to help her take care of my granny so I told my mother that I would provide for her. I took care of her day in and day out, I enjoyed bonding with her and getting to know and understand her interest. It allowed me to care for someone else aside from myself and build a remarkable bond. That experience encouraged my choice in major for college. I chose to go to school for nursing minoring in CNA and for Pre-Med to be a cardiothoracic surgeon. It is my passion to help others regardless of their circumstances.
