My whole life I have loved to care for others. As a child I would often pretend to be a doctor and perform "surgery" on my grandparents or dog. I realized as I grew up that what I liked most about medicine were the nurses and CNA's. To me, CNAs make health care go round. We get the most patient centered time and have the ability to make the greatest impact on patients lives. I love care giving because I can make a difference. I am able to make some one go from uncomfortable to comfortable and from feeling lonely to feeling loved. The difference that I am able to make in my patients lives transfers to my life. Nothing puts a bigger smile on my face than the knowledge that I was able to help some one to smile. Asside from care giving, I love school. I am super proud of myself for maintaining a 4.0 GPA my freshman year of college and hope to continue with that through the rest of my college career. I hope to further my education by one day becoming a Nurse Practitioner but first, I just have to get into UNCO's highly competitive nursing program. I am super excited to see where life takes me in my caregiving career, this is just the beginning.
