Traveling between various locations and practices to fulfill needs of facilities in need of help

Assisting Licensed Physicians in the practice of urology, while carrying out various delegated task in order to best provide care to patients. I am responsible for rooming patients, collecting various data including vital signs in order to assist the MD in care. Carrying out basic ambulatory clinic procedures such as instillation if BCG into the bladder for cancer tx. Administration of Lupron injections and fermagon injections. PTNS nerve stimulation treatments. I am also responsible to carrying out nurse visits under the direction of the MD. I provide patient education; I carry out procedures such as foley/SPT catheter insertion. I set up for procedures such as vasectomies, cystoscopies, prostate bx, and stent removals. I am trained in high level disinfection of surgical equipment. I delegate task to MAs. I also provide triage via phone calls to post-surgical patients. Utilizing Cerner EMR in order to provide care to patients.

Solving problems while utilizing the nursing process. Speaking with physicians to meet the needs of the resident. Implementation of medication orders and other various orders. Utilization of Point Click Care. Anticipation of needs of those in a comatose state and or those who can not communicate needs to staff. Staff education to CNAs to ensure the highest quality of holistic care to residents. Preforming wound care in accordance to MD orders including tracheostomy care and Tube care. Caring for tracheostomy and ventilator depends patients and providing skilled nursing care such as; Open and Closed Suctioning, tracheostomy site care, inner cannula changes, Ballard changing, HME changing, providing oxygen therapy, breathing tx, proper assessment of lungs, ventilator checks, personal hygiene care. Providing care for residents with Dementia and other various psychiatric disorders ranging from Bipolar to schizophrenia. Administration of injections and immunizations. Administration of PO, Tube/Peg-tube/ J-tube/NG tube, Sublingual, topical medications. Preforming emergency care to residents alongside respiratory therapists, RNs, and MDS during Code Blues, decannulations of tracheostomies, and other various cares.

Tx Nursing Experience- Providing skilled wound care in accordance to MD orders. Monitoring of wound care sites while looking for signs or symptoms of infections and or decline in wound status. Reporting finding to the wound care physician. Providing care to wounds such as Stage 1 - 4 PI, post-surgical wound care such as; craniotomy, hip/knee/joint replacements, spinal surgeries. Removing of staples and sutures in accordance to MD orders, sterile procedures such as insertion of foley catheter and straight catheter. Gathering samples such as fecal, urine, swab for culture, and mucous. Skin assessment and documentation of findings. Skin assessment for admission of residents and implementing orders upon admission for wound care. Charge Nurse Experience- Solving problems while utilizing the nursing process.
