I have the ability to listen actively, develop good relationship with clients, analyze, discuss, detect, observe and help clients solve difficult social issues in their lives. I am full of empathy, tolerance, humility, and patience. I am a trustworthy person, non-judgmental, and honest. Able to understand, speak, and write very good English. I was attracted to being a caregiver due to the fact that in my family (back in Kenya), there are people who need care and I took care of them. My sister (now deceased) was epileptic and my mother is blind. I took care of both. Also, I took care of and elderly priest for 3 years back in Kenya before coming to the United States. What I like most about being a caregiver is the fact that when I help those who need care, I put a smile on their face. on a daily basis. By my care, I will be having a direct impact on the quality of life for my clients. Also, I put myself in their situation. This motivates me to provide the best care I can. Maybe, I might need the same care in future. The personal achievement I are am proud of is that I have developed good relations with my clients and their families. For example, one of my client whom I take fishing taught me how to do fishing. Now I am a good fisherman (something I didn't know before).
