I became a caregiver because I believe it was my calling. I became a CNA in 1992 and worked as one until 2012. My heart is in geriatrics and working with alzheimer patients. I love everything about being a caregiver! I love what I do and feel rewarded at the end of my day knowing I helped to make someone else's life to be just a little bit easier. I moved to Colorado on blind faith and in 6 months, took and received my GED, got a job in housekeeping, my own apartment and attended Otero Junior College, nurse aide program, where I recently graduated having received my CNA license as it had expired. And finished top of my class in Medical Terminology. I'm a hard worker and take a lot of pride in what I do. When it comes to my residents/patients, they always come first. I am eager to get back to doing the work that I believe I'm meant to do.
