Hi there, I try to bring as much compassion, professionalism, and urgency of service I learned in both my roles in customer service and my previous experience caregiving for my immediate family after my parents passed away. It's not necessarily a role I chose. When I was a younger child I helped take care of my disabled father and grandfather on a regular basis. I've always been compassionate and willing to help people, but in the absence of any adult figures I had to step up to become a caregiver to my disabled immediate relatives. Since then I took a break from caregiving because I figured my skills would only be valuable to my family, and had no intention to obtain a 4-year medical degree. Now I am offering my services again as a caregiver/helper. The thing I probably most enjoy about being a caregiver is being able to have hands on conversations with people who experienced life entirely differently from me. I love being able to talk about every day topics and history through a lens I never considered myself. I also value my ability to work hard and help others above all else in addition to valuing people of all ages having independence in the home. So being able to enable people to have healthier, happier, more fulfilling lives than before is my other favorite aspect. A personal achievement I am proud of is: Despite not being able to finish my degrees due to the financial price, I have continued my education as a non-traditional learner. I have completed over 100 textbooks on physics and mathematics since the beginning of 2020. This includes over 2000 exercises, 1000 pages of notes, and 40 different computer modelling exercises. Topics ranged from undergraduate abstract algebra and quantum mechanics to pre-doctorate quantum field theory and string theory. I just think I owe it to myself not to give up on my passion and am proud of those results.
Caregivers that work non-full-time jobs or irregular shifts can negotiate extra compensation in addition to their standard hourly wage.
