Im upbeat, energetic, silly by nature, understanding and compassionate. I can be a strong leader and motivate others but I tend to do it through a combination of reason meets humour. I love the outdoors and love helping others stay independent. I know what its like to be on the recieving side of care so it really means a lot to me to preserve dignity and be a friend to my clients. I have extensive experience and training, am prompt and dependable. I am a problem solver and athough my demeanor is best described as silly, I am a professional and conduct myself as such. Humour is just a great way to connect and lighten the mood when things are otherwise difficult. I am proud of a great many accomplishments throughout my career, my greatest achievment is my ability to help someone go from being about to be placed into a long term care facility, to being completely able to function on their own without me. A little know how, hard work, time, and TLC can go a long way to restoring independence.

Very enthusiastic individual I take great pride in my work with over 19 years experience and 12 years of certifications from basic patient care to althizmiers and dementia, autism ,stroke patients and rehabilitation training knowledge of different diets knowledge of medication use understands medical terminology I have worked for multiple nursing homes in Mississippi tennessee and Wisconsin also have worked in home health care in tennessee and Mississippi I'm most proud of the experience and growth I have gained over the years in my caregiving career. I am a 50-year-old woman who has cared for 2 elderly parents (1 through Cancer, other Alzheimer), a lovely 64 yr. old lady with ALS / Alzheimers & a wonderful man of 81 with COPD etc. I raised 2 productive, delightful, responsible children to adulthood (25 and 28) with no issues. I am a VERY personable lady with a huge heart who is very much a conversationalist, so I meet no strangers. I am one who treats others how I want to be treated and how I would want my loved ones treated. I am very maternal, protective and loving. I have 28 years experience as Mother and 9 as Grandma and 12 Years of caring for my elderly parents & 6 yrs. caring for others professionally. I most recently sat with a 63-year-old stage 6 Alzheimers / ALS patient. I am a very responsible, ethical and & trustworthy person to boot and even have the current background check available to you for extra peace of mind, just ask. I am interested in a sitting/companion/ caretaker position with elderly with or without pets. I have worked in the medical field for over 23 years as a Medical assistant and lab technician. I have worked in skilled home health care and emergency room care as well as oncology and geriatric specialties. I left the field 2 years ago to do private caregiving. I enjoy working with people and I am very dedicated and compassionate.

I am very compassionate. Extremely patient. What made me want to become a caregiver was having my son 17 years ago. He was born blind with special needs. Also losing my father not even a year before to cancer. I cared for him throughout the entire hospice period. I love being able to go home at the end of my shift knowing that my Patient is happy and very well taken care of! I care for them as if they're my own family!
