I have worked as a CNA for over 9 years and as an HHA for over 5 years. I enjoy what I do. My goal is to become a nurse and being a CNA and a Caregiver is a good first step. Whenever I work with my clients, my aim is to find creative ways to encourage them to do something more than they have done before. Though working with various clients has its ups and downs, it is especially exciting for me to see someone get better while in my care. Even a little progress is better than no progress at all.

A Certified Medical Assistant, I believe in helping others when needed and when asked, I have always loved what medical professionals do to help better patients. As a caregiver I follow doctor's guidelines, orders, and recommendations to better assist patients in the comfort of their homes. I have experience with working with children with special needs, to adults with MS, dementia. Alzheimer's, stroke, wound care, autism, high blood pressure, diabetes, and much more. Since working in a doctor's office in 2011 I realized I wanted to do more patient's and caregiving was the route I took. I became a caregiver because of my Mother she had became ill and I wanted to care for her but because I was not experienced in the health field she wanted some one who was in the health care field, so she had to go to the hospital and when I went to visit her I seen that she was in pain and uncomfortable in the hospital bed, and I tried to help her but did not know how too, and that made me very angry, so I decided to take a class in nursing Assistant and Home Health, but by the time I was finished with the course my Mother passed away. which helped me to see that their are others that need help in their homes and in nursing homes and I wanted do it for my mother to care to those in need and, I love caring for others, and I know my Mother is smiling down on me every time I make a difference in helping someone to live their life as much as possible. My greatest achievement is when making life better for others, like I met a lady who had had a stroke and her husband was caring for her and she was having problems with her hands stiffening up so I made her a home made device to help her be able to open and close her hand for exercise, so she could regain her strength in her hands and move her fingers. It was just rolled up towels but it helped her and made a difference and she was so pleased and so was I.

Skills & Certifications: Alzheimer's Disease, Arthritis, Home Health Aide (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Blood Disorders, Cardiovascular Disorders, COPD, Dementia, Depression, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Hearing Disorders, ALS, Cancer Recovery, Diabetes, Hospice Care, Orthopedic Care, Post Surgery Recovery, Respiratory Disorders, Skin Disorders, HIV/AIDS
