I began my caregiving career as a skilled CNA in a nursing home at the Care Center in Oakdale. Once I perfected my skills and with the proper work-methods, I resumed my work ethics at Oak Valley Hospital in the Rehabilitation Center; and was promoted by The Director of Nursing to a RNA position ( Restorative Nursing Assistant) working directly with professionals such as PT, PTA, Speech Specialists, RNs and Doctors. It was my absolute pleasure to see my patients regain their health and return home to loved ones. With my acquired experience and knowledge, great compassion and kindness, I became an independent caregiver and have worked as a private caregiver for over 20 yrs. I love what I do. I have met many wonderful clients and family loved ones; and graciously, I have received many letters of recognition. Through my caregiving process, I have worked diligently along side Hospice, applying my nursing skills to bring comfort to dying patients. My goal is to bring a quality of life to my clients with much joy and with a compassion filled with gentle kindness. I have been involved in working in the healthcare field for over the past 20 years now. I really enjoy taking care of my clients. I show them a lot of empathy and compassion. I like to do what I can to make my clients feel special. I always go the extra mile to keep them happy. What attracted me most about being a good caregiver? This gives me a lot of joy to take care of people. It makes me feel special in my heart to let them know that I am dependable, compassionate, and trustworthy. The three things that I enjoy about being a caregiver are 1. treating a person like a family member 2. I have developed a lot of good relationships with my clients and their family members. 3. I also love to help people through their disease process. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is my children who I love very much. Also, I am also pleased to say that I received my first degree in Healthcare Management in 2018. I have a lot of great features under my belt which Include MA, CNA, Phlebotomist, and Home Health aide, Also I have a degree in Business Administration. I still have great compassion in my heart to provide care for clients.

First and foremost my education as a degree holder of Bachelor of Science in Nursing.Certified ,Trained and Experienced as a Certified Nursing Assistant to various Hospitals,Assisted Living,Skilled Nursing,and Home Care Facilities.I have ample period of time of experience to various facilities and hospitals.I have met and worked with many patients, elders,and different clients and with diff.cases. Need less to say That I am in the process of to taking my NCLEX for RN,in order for me to be equip academically and governmentally licensed to practice my profession. Hello my name is Tammy. I have been doing caregiving for 32 + years. I have experience in physical therapy,occupational therapy. Hoyer lifts GI feeding tubed , colostomy bags, nebulizers, sleep apnea monitors and many more. I have alot of experience and not much I haven't done. I specialized and dementia and Alzheimer's. . I also have experience with hospice care.

I started out as a CNA when I was 16 years old in a convalescent home, I was in the Army from 1975 to 1978. I used the GI Bill to become an LVN. I've worked in LTC, rehabilitation and acute care settings. you name it I've probably done it. My father was a minister and my Mom always wanted to be a nurse, however she kept busy being a ministers wife, I took care of both of them in their last days. I now prefer to take care of people in their homes, which I believe is the ideal setting and much less stressful.

I Am a very honest fun loving Caring Lady, I enjoy putting that smile on everyone's face, I have always been very interested in learning all about my patients life and experiences I find it to be very fascinating, I went into the nursing field because I love caring for the elderly. I enjoy most about being a caregiver when I see the smile on my patients face as I walk into the door, I love talking about their life and their family history, the patient is the most important. My personal achievement was when I was caring for a gentleman in San Jose he had just had a major back surgery they glued his nerves together so he was pretty much paralyzed when i started caring for him, the doctors told him that he would not walk again, well I was with him for almost a year in a half I did physcial therapy with him every single day we went on walks etc.. I am very proud to say this gentleman is walking, dancing and driving he is now 82 years of age..

I am a fun and outgoing social person . I enjoy helping with taking care of the elderly because I enjoy hearing about their own experiences with what they did in their own lives and hearing their own stories about how they grew up what attracted me to become a caregiver is I enjoy helping individuals in a time of need where they feel most vulnerable and need someone to talk to and socialize with when they feel alone. I enjoy being a caregiver because I find this job really rewarding and fun. I enjoy spending time with my patcients and talking to them about life and old movies and hobbies that they enjoy doing on a daily basis. A personal achievement that I am currently proud of is going back to school to pursue my dream of being a LVN
