Hi. I am a qualified Nurse from Australia, and my Registration is still Current although I live in the USA. I had wanted to be a nurse since i was little. Love helping people. My main passion is Palliative/Hospice Care. Just being with someone at the end of their life is fulfilling. I also have a granddaughter in Australia who I helped look after who was born with Golden Har Syndrome. That was very challenging and rewarding. My Interests are Hot Rods, Rockabilly/50s music, Drag-racing, and Antique shopping.

It is a profession that i was drawn into when my grandmother became diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I cared for her in the last two years of her life and assisted her with such things as bath,grooming, and incontinence care . I also assisted her with mobility tranfers, and provided transportation to and from doctor's appointments.

It is a profession that found me. It started with a next door neighbor I had once. She was an elderly lady and needed help with small things in the beginning and then gradually our relationship grew to the point where I was completely taking care of her and I enjoyed her company so much it didn't seem like a job to me. I fell in love with being a caregiver and the rest is history. My personal achievement would be going back to school and graduating at the top of my class. It's never too late to reinvent yourself. I have since went on to work at a senior living community and have had a lot of fun working there. I recently received my CNA license.
