I've been a Qualified Care Provider for over 20yrs my mother had taken sick and I was blessed to care for her till she passed away 6 yrs ago. she had congestive heart failure high blood pressure, diabetes and major depression In between caring for her I decided to foster two children for 8 yrs that I am now a proud adoptive mom! They both was diagnosed with ADHD/attention deficit also major depression. 1 yr I had a client that had 2 strokes and non verbal he had gotten really sick had to go on hospice I took care of him until he passed away he was a joy! God saw fit that caring for others was my gift to him. I'm registered and also CPR-first-aid qualified received a Certificate in Appreciation through San Bernardino County also, Certificate of Recognition from San Bernardino County. I've been a caregiver for 35 yrs. I started in this field when I was just 17. I love what I do. I come from a medical family and decided at a very young age that I wanted to be a doctor or nurse. I specialize in geriatric dementia and Alzheimers care. Every client needs to know they're truly cared for on every level with love, patience, and kindness. I've always had a heart for caring for others. It is such a wonderful feeling knowing I can be of help to those of need. I have 10yrs of experience in the medical field. I've started with helping my grandmother as a little girl such as brushing her hair on a daily, picking out her clothes, to then giving her, her medications. Encourage patient to exercise. Review & ask dietary restrictions, preferences, & allergies. Change bed linens, replace trash bags. Always check expiration of food & medicines. Know vital information about patient's condition, treatment plan & any suggested activity.. In a capsule, it is very important to respond immediately to patient's call for assistance and/or treatment with the goal of creating a safe, effective environment to make a difference in the lives of the patient & their families. Patience is a virtue inherent in me. I always work above & beyond my duty for the comfort & safety of my patients.
