I found my calling after years of taking care of my elderly parents and also my own family. I took a job near my home assisting a RN and an LVN to care for 6 mentally and physically challenged adults in a group home. I fell in love with the job and was heart sick, when a year later, the group home closed, due to lack of funding from the state. I decided to go back to school and earn my CNA certification. I served an internship at three different assisted living facilities during my training and was convinced that this was the field I was happiest in. I got a job I love and have been kept busy but would like some extra work in addition to my regular job. I have good references from people who know my good work history.

What made me be a caregiver . Is I started to taking care of my grandmother . And I just love helping people . What I love the most about being a caregiver is knowing ur helping and taking care of someone's mother grandfather . And they all need to loved and treated right . When I was a teenager, my grandmother needed extra care and my mother didn't always have time to do everything necessary, so I stepped in and shared in the care of my grandmother. She always told me that I would make a great care giver and that I could bring joy to alot of people due to my compassionate personality. Also, when my late husband had Leukemia, I cared for him in all facets of the care, including bathing, feeding, helping in the bathroom, etc., until he died 2 years ago. I also cared for my best friend, til she died from heart failure a few years ago. I believe that these experiences have solidified my ability and desire to help others, even if it is simply in the capacity of companion. **About my fee; my fee ranges any where between 13.00 per hour to 15.00 per hour depending on the case, the work involved and the time of day. For over nites and live-ins, I am willing to quote a flat fee to save you money.
