Like a lot of people who are caregivers I started out taking care of a loved one, who was suffering from Lupus and Heart Disease. She was a retired nurse who was full of knowledge and more than happy to pass it on to me during the ten years I took care of her. I found that not only was I a very good caregiver but that I actually enjoyed it and found it very fulfilling! I think one of the most important things I learned while caring for seniors is that even though they may need help with many different things, some of which are very personal, they are still an adult not a child. I've found people appreciate that, I know I would if the situation was reversed. My second ten years in this business have been helping wonderful people who have found themselves in need of quality care. Their conditions have included Diabetes, Parkinson, Strokes, Dementia and Alzheimer's and other ailments. Some have just needed a little help and companionship. I was very happy that I could be there for them and make a difference in their day with whatever level of care they needed, and to help the family feel confident that their loved one had someone competent and caring to depend on. I have many hand written references that I have received over the years that I can share with you in person.

My first experience of taking care of the elderly started when I was 11 where I took care of my grandfather and grandmother that were very ill. I also worked in a Child Daycare Center in Salavat, Russia for about 1 year. In 2008 I took care of my father who had a heart disease and later died in Sept of 2010. My Name is Clara I am from Syracuse New York I am a certified home health aide through the state of New York I have been doing this line of work every since 2012 . I moved to Fort Myers to take care of my mom in 2015. In that same year I start working for Mr.Robert Taylor for two years we just move him into Assistant Living in December of 2017 ,but I still see him once a week to take him for errands if needed. Sorry to say , but Mr. Taylor passed in 2018. My current employer is Mr. And Mrs. Antisdale I started Oct 2019 And I am presently with them. As for my profession I specialize : Dementia, Alzheimer, Medication management, and Hospices care , daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, meals preparation transferring if need it and light house keeping. Hours I can work 9:00a.m -5:00 p.m M-F NO WEEKENDS

I am a very calm person and have been told by many of my clients and their families. I have a warm personality and find great fulfillment with working with the elderly. I actually lived with my grand aunt for many years and so was from a relatively earlier age was taking care of her. I am proud of the fact that when I leave my clients when my case is up, many of the families stay in touch because of the bond that was formed between their parent and myself. I also have families who keep in touch with me for over 8 years!! I just plain and simple love people.
