Hi, I'm Ronald Porter, I'm 26 yrs old, I've worked as a direct care staff/caregiver for about 4/5 years, I'm also CPR/AED Certified. I love being a caregiver, I love getting to know and hearing the stories of everyone that I take care of. I also enjoy making their day, I really believe that this is my calling. What attracted me to become a caregiver is because there are some people that do not have family and they often become sad and give up on life. I have been caregiving since I was 18. I have worked with numerous services from adolescents to geriatrics. From mental disorders to just being a companion. I do light cleaning for patients. I document everything for families and my employer to know what is going on. I love being a caregiver. I get close to my patients. I've even sat with my own family. I'm in school for my RN degree. My life goal on day is to be a doctor and have my own practice.

My oldest child is 30 years old, I also have a 21 year old, and a 13 year old. My children are my greatest achievements and they are where my caregiver "carrier" truly started. They taught me a great deal of patience, they taught me to be reliable and flexible. All are things that I use in my caregiver profession still today. Through them I have learned I love helping people. When I have a client they become a second family to me. For me seeing the smile of a family member I have helped leaves me with a worm fuzzy feeling that cant be explained. I would like the chance to be part of your family so i can share in all of you achievements and help with any burdens you may have.

Becoming a caregiver always been a prioritized career choice of mine because I always was drawn to taking care of others, especially those who don't have the mobility to do for themselves. Making a difference in someone else life always always been an inspiration because I have the experience and ability to make a difference in theirs. I'm experienced with ventilators patients and I've always want to expand my knowledge in the health care field

Hi. My name is Teresa D. Johnson. I am an EHS, which is an Early HeadStart Teacher. I have worked at a Private Daycare for the last past years teaching students. Although, now this is my second year teaching students at HeadStart School and yes I love it. However , my most loveable experiences skills are working as a Caregiver, Sitter, Private Sitter, Private Duty, and CNA. I have worked over 30 years in Caregiver field. Some have been through Agencies, Homes, in Hospitals as Private Sitters, Sitters, and etc. My mother at the time was my very first patient. I loved it and desired my heart to continue to for-fill my passionate towards others and that's what attracted me to becoming a Caregiver. It blessed me knowing that I could provide the needs to others as I did for my mother ; after her deceased. My heart desires were to treat others in the field of caregivering like my mother's love, which was a personal achievements for me. Finally, I loved most about being a Caregiver is this, if you don't love what you are call to do in this lifetime and you can't show love as the word of God says to do. Truly, that field of work is definitely not for you. As for my personality traits there is a list : you must have compassion and be compassionate , Caring, Loving, Honesty ,Presistence, Commitment, Faithful, and mostly have a Caregiver Heart. Hello I'm Pamela, mother of 3 and grandmother of 2. What I love about caregiving is the company and conversation. During the years of my work in this profession I have enjoyed my residents. They sometimes just want someone to talk to and give them a little time. That's what has always attracted me to this work. My greatest achievement is knowing and feeling that I make a difference in any and everything I do whether it was just a little bit.
