I have worked with the Elderly, also have worked at the Coffee Regional medical center for a total of 5 years in the labor and delivery department and the Emergency room department. Then I quit that job bc the job I had been waiting for which was a Hospice nurse came available and that's where I went. Most of all very easy going, love knowing at the end of every job, that I've done everything in my power to make the patient and the family very impressed and leaving with a smile. More all,that the patient has everything he or she needs.or needs done. Always patient is #1 and my main goal.

I was attracted to becoming a caregiver when My Mother became terminally ill and had to go under Hospice Care. I enjoy taking care of people and making their families have a sense of hope. I am very friendly, love to talk as well as listen. I enjoy life and seeing others happy.

My personality traits are what makes me a very compassionate care giver, I'm understanding I don't get upset easily and I'm a great listener. The reason I became a health care giver is because my grandfather was put on hospice care and I would help the hospice nurses care for him being only 8 years old I seen the care he was given and I wanted to return that love to others. My favorite part about being a care giver is being able to get to know my patients really build a bond with them. I love giving care to others and being able to make a difference in their lives . One personal achievement of mine is receiving my Certified Nursing Assistant License it was the happiest day of my life.

Patience is also a very important aspect of caring for others. 3-what I enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping others and seeing the smile on their faces. 4-A personal achievement I proud of is obtaining my PCA/CNA license. I got into caregiving when my grandfather was sick with cancer. He was a very big inspiration to my career and I'm forever grateful for him.

My name is Julie and I have been working as a Caregiver for 3 1/2 years now. After all my years of working in the housekeeping and cooking industry, I had made the decision to become a caregiver. So many families often need a break or just want their loved ones to be cared for when they can't be there. I am a hands-on person with a strong sense of order and cleanliness. I have assisted with companionship, bathing, toileting, medication prompting, exercising, laundering, light housekeeping, light cooking, and running errands. I have some experience working with someone with early on-set dementia, Parkinson's, wound care, ambulation with gait belt. I like to keep detailed journals of my patients for myself and families, not only to keep them up to date but to help any medical staff in case of an emergency.
