I'm currently a Certifed Licensed Pharmacy technician at Walgreens, looking for more ways to help people. I have previous experience doing home health aid work before Covid. My personality has always been helpful to build meaningful relationships and connections with people. As a child I watched my mother and grandmother work in nursing homes and hospitals. Going with them on bring your children to work day has made me want to help others.

I have worked as a Caregiver for over 15 years. Went to college for LPN. I enjoy working to help & care for people, it is very satisfying to me, I feel it stems from growing up in a large family. I have three grown children & care for three of my Grandchildren full time & love every minute of it, they all are loving, kind, generous, & intelligent for their ages. Why did you become a Caregiver? My mother lost about 70% of her stomach from cancer and was in need of a Caregiver. I decided to quit my job at the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and become her full-time Caregiver. What do you like about being a Caregiver? Clients really appreciate the service I provide for them. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? Putting my personal needs and wants aside to take care of my mother during a time when she was at her lowest point (emotionally, physically, mentally & financially), due to cancer. Tell us something about yourself. -I have seven years of experience as an Elderly Caregiver (Dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Cancer, Hepatitis B & C, and other medical conditions). -I am Honest, friendly, and very compassionate with all my clients. I know how important it is to focus on helping my clients use the skills they currently possess and to be patient with any limitations they have. -I am a military wife, mom of 4 adult children, and 2 grandchildren. I'm also a part-time student at Florida State College of Jacksonville.

I have worked with the Elderly, also have worked at the Coffee Regional medical center for a total of 5 years in the labor and delivery department and the Emergency room department. Then I quit that job bc the job I had been waiting for which was a Hospice nurse came available and that's where I went. Most of all very easy going, love knowing at the end of every job, that I've done everything in my power to make the patient and the family very impressed and leaving with a smile. More all,that the patient has everything he or she needs.or needs done. Always patient is #1 and my main goal.

I believe that I am a great caregiver for several reason. I love to help others as well as helping others help themselves. I believe in seeing fit that each person I come across is well taken care of by meeting all of their needs to the very best of my ability. The proper care of any if my residents is my number one priority followed by respect and proper communication! I have a passion for the elderly and I love to be there for them as they were there for others when they good get around and do things "giving back" is what I'd call it! What I like most about working with older individuals is the having the opportunity to make their day and see that smile that warms my heart to know I made them feel good or just plain out happy! I really don't have any personal achievements except the fact that once I have captured ones heart they tell me how much they appreciate me and love me that means a lot and is something I think is a good enough achievement!

I am compassionate, personable, experienced and patient. I got an after school job as a dietary aide at local nursing home and I really enjoyed it! I went on to get my CNA the same month I finished high school. I knew that was what I wanted to do. One thing that I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being able to help others, it gives me a sense of purpose and like I can make a difference. I must say often times they touch my life and much as I touch theirs.
