I look at someone as if they where my family how you would want your family be taking care of if it was someone take care someone you related to. what attracted me to being caregiver i grew up in it my mom and grandma was nurses. then going to there job when little talking people nurse home spending time with them. Now as i am older i love helping people. I love going home at the end of day know i made someone life little better at end of the day. I enjoy caring for them and making there life little easier from the big things to little things cause there not able to do it or they need help. knowing the appreciate the help and what you do. My greatest achievement to keep going in the heath care fluid cause my heart in it and i love it. I type person even outside work i help people feeding them, donating clothes, whatever i can do.

I have over eight years' experience in the care industry. I began as a CNA working in nursing homes for four years before moving on to being a home counselor helping integrate the mentally challenged into society. After retiring from the workforce in 2010, I returned to work in home care for senior citizens. I have gained a wide variety of skill and maintain a professional connection with all my clients. I currently work with two home-care agency's and constantly educate myself to hone my skills. My compassion for senior citizens began while in middle school in the small town of Center Point Iowa. We have an eight apartment senior building close to the school. Every day, I would stop by, pick up the newspaper in front of the door and knock. Every time I was invited in to socialize. Listening to live history those folks lived through will always be in my fondest memories. I love taking care of those who paved the way for our society. Every client I meet gets professional care with a friendly, family atmosphere.

I have worked in a nursing facility more than half my life. I Would say less then 10% want to be there. Most miss there hose family and pets. After watching this devastation over the years I have decided to fix it. I AM 42 I am a mother of 4. I have 3 boys 1 girl ages are 25, 22, 20, and 12. I know the struggle and stress that comes with Aging love ones while juggling work and house chores. What I offer is a way you can be stress free. An example of what we do would be as followed. I cook and have a licence. I will do all the cleaning. I have a handicap bus to drive them (you) anywhere you need to go. I've been in healthcare since I've been 18 yrs old. I come from a large farm family and have grown up caring for one another. We enjoyed caring for our grandparents and I always enjoyed listening and learning as much as I could from them. I enjoy seeing the smile on my clients faces, knowing I helped put it there. They make me smile and so happy as well!

What makes me great caregiver is my patients, empathy and compassion. I understand that slowing down is a process of aging. Allow elderly to move at their own pace without making them feel like they are being rushed provides them with the sense of independence. I do care about their concerns and frustrations due to their life changes. I am dependable and I understand the importance of being on time and prepared to preform schedule duties. I am positive and happy person who enjoys helping others and love to make others smile! :)
