Given a hand in any situation is a plus for me it makes me feel good as a daughter, mother, family members and wife I started out as a single Mothers over 20 years and I was encouraged to attend the nursing assistant course due to my personality and I never looked back, I also worked in Transportation for Pace paratransit and I encouraged and helped most of my clients to sign up for the services. I decided with the Experience I have in Health and Transportation I wanted to get my own Clients in the DuPage County area

I was a Librarian back in the Philippines but when I came to the US in 2006, my friend encouraged me to try working with the elderly as a caregiver. Since then, I have been working as a caregiver and I developed the love and passion in taking care of the elderly. I have experience in taking care.of elderly with different health issues such as Alzheimers, Dementia, diabetis, heart diseases (ie. CHF), Lung or respiratory disease, stroke, cancer, hospice, etc. I assist my residents with their activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, walking, exercising, etc.. I also do meal preparation , laundry, light housekeeping and medication reminder. I can also assist my Residents with their errands and bring them to their doctor's appointments. I am not only a caregiver to to my Residents but I am also a companion, a friend, a confidant whom they could trust and depend on. I am a responsible person,, loyal and reliable. I stay with my Residents until they terminate my employment. I am proud of being a caregiver because I know I make a difference in the lives of my Residents and I am grateful that most of my Residents that I have taken cared of, including their families, trusted me to be part of the last journey of their lives. My nationality is Filipino and we are known to be the best in caregiving, especially to the elderly.

When I was in a nursing home I worked or experienced a lot of cases like people that has any stage of Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson, multiple sclerosis, stroke and more. And now I work as a private caregiver for 4 years which includes housekeeping, running errands, preparing meal or cooking food.

Being patient,loving, caring, compassionate, and highly experienced make me a good caregiver. This is what I have been doing before I came to this country. Out of 6 siblings, I was the only one taking care of my Mom with the assistance of my daughter who is now a medical doctor and now in the university pursuing her masters degree in public health here in the U.S. I feel so much comfortable taking of people either young or old. It is my joy to contribute positively to general care of elderly people. I personally relate very well with my client and their families, that most of them treat me like members of their families. I still have contact with most of the families I have worked for. They sometimes take me out for my birthdays celebrations , some calls on my birthdays, some sends messages on my birthdays. I think this a great achievement, because if I did not do good jobs for them, they will not remember me to give me such wonderful honors.

I've always had a passion for caring for people. I have thirteen years of experience in health care. I'm very outgoing, caring, compassionate, reliable, honest, focused, and dedicated to my job. I became dedicated to caregiving when I volunteered with this organization 12 years ago. After my experience there, I knew my true passion was in caregiving. I have been working in a caregiver position, and healthcare field, since the age of 14. I love the work, helping in any way I can. I've worked with a variety of clients, men and women.

I am currently 33 years old, mother of two. I have been a home care aid (6 years) and personal assistant (2yrs) The reason I became a caregiver was due to the fact when I was 7mths pregnant with my oldest child; my mother had a stroke that effect her short &long term memory and was in much needed help at home with her daily need due to the fact my mother has difficulty remembering certain things like she did years ago; I felt she needed someone to help her on the things she might need on her day to day routines but since she didn't like stranger in the home I became a caregiver to show her caregiver aren't just stranger they can become part of your family as well. I am very familiar with all house cleaning, washing clothes, assisting with elderly needs, washing dishes, organizing furniture, running errands, cooking (basics), assist with bathing. I currently have desired work schedule of which would consist of Tuesday&Wednesday, 9-2pm Saturday (open) Sunday 8am-5 p.m. I am mostly flexible with any job description except for transportation which at the moment I don't own a vehicle.

Summer Update [?]: I am free and available for the entire summer until day after Labor Day, in which afterwards, I go back to my schedule below. After Labor Day Availability: I am available late evenings, overnight til 4am w/sleep, & some weekends can be negotiated. What makes me a great caregiver is my patience and ability to take the lead to discern when a situation needs action or not. I have had many clients whose demands were very different but I adjusted right away bc I do understand the need for each person to have dignity and still feel as though they have a level of independence. I have serviced those as young as 38 with terminal cancer to those who were a mature age of 88 with heart, mobility, and respiratory issues, dementia, Alzheimer's, and bed-ritten, so I am well-rounded. I am a mother of 2 boys now young men and I am married but I have still devoted countless hours for my clients, even living in with them 24/7 and working 12 to 24 hour days, 7 days a week. I do not mind at all. I am gracious and love people too much. I will be a promising catch.
