Hello, my name is Brittany and a little background about me I'm from central Illinois born and raised here, my hobbies or exercising, garbage sale shopping, drawing, and watching documentaries. I'm currently in school to become a social worker. I enjoy working with people and helping people in anyway, I have always enjoyed working in my community and working closely with people in a personal standpoint I have prior experience working in a domestic shelter for women and children along with a homeless shelter for women and children which was very rewarding. What I enjoy most is knowing that the little things we take for granted such as bathing, grooming some are not able to do that and knowing that I can provide that assistance is rewarding for me or also sitting and chatting making another persons day go better is a reward for me. The most I'am proud of is taking a big step and going back to school so I can further my education and experience in social work I feel that my character and personality would be a great attribute to my community.

I used to care for my grandmother back home. This is my first time applying for a caregiver job here in the United States but I have took a CNA course and did my clinical hours. I am also currently in Nursing School so I have experienced taking care of patients so I do think, I will be a great fit for this job. I love taking care of people and that is the main reason why I decided to go into nursing and also become a caregiver. I am very proud of the fact that I have made it through two semesters of Nursing School, because nursing school is very hard and even though I have thought about giving up so many times I am still pushing through. I enjoying seeing my patients smile. I love when they are happy to see me which makes me feel like I am doing a great job taking care of them. I love seeing my patients get the best care that they need. I am very compassionate, patient, trustworthy, dependable and attentive so I do think this will be a very good fit for me.

I HAVE OVER THIRTY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN CNA, IN HOSPITALS, HOSPICE, NURSING HOMES AND PRIVATE HOMECARE. I HAVE CURRENT CERTIFIATES IN ALZHEIMER'S, CPR AND MORE. I ALSO HAVE LETTERS OF APPRECIATIATION AND MANY REFEREENCES. I LOVE WHAT I DO AND DO WHAT I LOVE. THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS COLLEGE OF MEDICINE WROTE AN ARTICLE ON MY LIFE STORY AND I WAS PRESENTED A CERTICIFATE FROM THEM BASED ON MY LIFE'S WORK. I love being a caregiver because,careing for other and helping someone every day is a very important part of my life. I try every day to do my help to others in some way,that is why I be came a caregiver. I m honesty,truthful, trustworthy,dependable and have a lot of love to give.

I have over 20 years of experience in the caregiving field, both live in and live out situations. I am highly skilled in grooming toileting bathing dressing and transferring of elderly. I am well versed in assisting clients with activities of daily living and I have demonstrated ability to record and report changes in residents eating habits to supervisor or family. I first started caregiving at an early age my auntie was sick and I had to help my family take care of her and then she passed away at 12. Once I was 19 my grandmother was diagnosed with dementia and was later placed in a nursing facility and wasn't for it. They didn't make her do much so I would go and making her do things around the building. At 22 I graduated from college for medical administration assistant. Then my 2 auntie had a stroke and was diagnosed with aphasia. I had to assist her with everything. That's when I started to real love this career. Taking care and helping people is my passion now at 37. I really don't see myself doing other job because I don't like it knowing that I make a difference and learned while working is the best thing to me.
