I started young as a medical assistant..continued working in Healthcare on and off for nearly 30 yrs. Came home to be caregiver to my parents and continued in caregiving since their death. I became a caregiver in 1989 when i became a CNA and once my mother became ill in that same year. She had a stroke and could no longer do for herself. There were times when I had to give her an enema along with personal hygiene care. Prepared meals, cleaned home, took my mom shopping, out to eat occasionally.
