I am a certified nurse assistant and certified medication technician in the state of Missouri and have maintained my certifications for about 19 years. I also have several credits earned at Chamberlain Nursing School of Saint Louis. I have a Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration and a Masters Degree in Business Administration with the Emphasis of Leadership Management. I am currently a caregiver for my disabled neighbor and have been her caregiver for about 2 years. I am also a caregiver for my parents. My father is a cancer patient with a heart condition. My mother needs help as well. She is long covid survivor and has issues stemming from Covid-19. The need is all around me. I thoroughly enjoy helping people who need healthcare assistance. I have worked in long term care facilities/settings, not only caring for the residents needs, but making sure that they are taking their medications with the correct dosage and scheduled times. I administer their medication where I have to count for narcotics at the beginning and end of my shifts. I have self-gratification each time that I am of aid to my patients and I feel very satisfied when I give care as well as having a smile on my face to cheer up my patients.

I became a caregiver because I like helping people. I am patient and very compassionate. I have concern for others and their needs. Being a caregiver for children10+ years while I raised my own children was like second nature to me. When they were older and I began to look for work outside the home is was a natural choice to care for handicap and elderly.
