Hi my name is Ruthy I'm from the Philippines and I've been working as a CNA for 9 years, my first job was in a nursing home for 5 years I love my job because I like to help people especially elderly it reminds me of my grandparents. When I was in a nursing home I worked or experienced a lot of cases like people that has any stage of Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson, multiple sclerosis, stroke and more. I think this a great achievement, because if I did not do good jobs for them, they will not remember me to give me such wonderful honors.

My personality traits that would help me be a great caregiver would be compassion, patience, and dependability. I would treat my residents as if they were my own family members. What attracted me to being a caregiver would be liking to help others and taking care of my elderly family members. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is seeing my residents smile and knowing that I treated them with dignity.
