Most of my career has been as a caregiver. There was a brief time that I worked in accounting completing my degree in 2015. It seems that I am doing what I enjoy the most helping others.

I have 19 years of experience as a CNA. I am very compassionate and have a huge heart. I used to go to work with my mother as a child at the nursing homes. I knew then that's what I wanted to do when I was old enough. I truly take every patient as a member of my family. I enjoy spending quality time with each patient to fully meet their needs. I volunteered at Union Hospital for three summers before obtaining my CNA licenses in 2013. My grandmother had a double hip replacement and needed assistance with getting out of bed and just everyday life for several weeks. I took care of her and it opened my mind and heart to caring for others. I have been a CNA for 6 years and I learn more about it all the time of what it takes, how I can impact someones life. I enjoy making others smile when they do not feel like they can go on anymore. I have strong shoulders for family members to cry on and they have several times when a loved one passes.

Iam a 21 year old nursing student going to Ivy Tech to achieve my RN. I have been in the healthcare industry since I was 18 years old . I've worked in a home health setting as well as clinical & hospital setting. I have a lot of experience very friendly and easy going. I also have a lot of experience with MS, dementia & Alzheimer's disease both personal & professional.

The most important aspect of being a caregiver to me is building a relationship with my clients that becomes more of a family rather than a job or their caregiver. I feel that it helps me to help others! I live to make others smile, feel important as anyone should feel,and never felt alone or scared that they don't have someone there for them. I loved my grandmother I was so close with her she got sick I took care of her and I was who she had . So it helps remind me of her and the wisdom I gained from her was tremendous! I love to cook and bake. I don't mind cleaning at all I find it a great stress reliever.
