Hello! My names is Kelsey! I am a mother of two amazing little boys! 6 and 4 I have been in the caregiving industry for a little over 10 years now, I have experienced everything you can think of.. I love what I do, and I enjoy coming in to each of my clients lives, and getting to know them on a personal level! I graduated from Rasmussen college with my diploma in medical assisting in April of 2021, covid had hit and I decided I didn't want to be in the doctors office, rather one on one with a client in caregiving. Most of my career has been as a caregiver. There was a brief time that I worked in accounting completing my degree in 2015. It seems that I am doing what I enjoy the most helping others.

I am well experienced. I became a caregiver, more than twenty years ago, to give quality care to those in need. I enjoy meeting new people and listening to their stories. I have had Certified Nursing Assistant training, Direct Support Professional training, Qualified Medication Aide training, and am well read with experience as Physical Therapy Aide. As a caregiver, it is nice to have both a decent medical vocabulary and an interest in continuous learning about the functions of the human body.

Last summer I started some private care for a friend who was recovering from broken leg. I started with Senior Helpers at about the same time but did not have client for a few months. Since Covid-19 I have primarily just done weekly grocery shopping. I currently provide a shower to a weekly dementia client and clean her bathroom and cat boxes.

I have had experience with a variety of clients and I am hoping to get to experience many more! I knew I wanted to be a caregiver when I saw my grandmother in a nursing home and realized that the importance of being in the comfort of your own home when you have health issue. I love the idea that I'm making a real impact on someone's life and that I'm helping them live out their days as comfortable as they can be!
