Seeing there patience face light up when they got to work was great. Then watch how they took care of each one. It inspired me to make a difference. I love meeting new people. Hello, I'm Jennafer. I previously worked for a VA Medical Center as a nurses aid. I loved my job, unfortunately I moved and it was too far in distance. I am CPR certified, and have experience with most common elderly illnesses and diseases. I worked with a lot of patients suffering from either dementia, Alzheimer's, diabetes, urinary, respiratory, cardiopulmonary, restorative, and more. I absolutely enjoy making people happy and being part of people's lives, which is one reason I believe makes me great at care giving. I love to talk and companionship is a big plus for me in the healthcare field. I am very compassionate about the care I provide and I enjoy the friendships I get to make. I am always looking for ways and opportunities to better my skills and care. I have been a PCA since I was 16 when my grandmother first got sick, I am now 33, I continued with this type of work because I absolutely genuinely enjoy taking care of people and helping them in their time of need. I have done in home care also worked in group homes and nursing homes. I have worked with elderly men and women as well as mentally challenged men and women, helping them with personal care, cooking and cleaning for them, administering their medications, transporting them to and from doctor appointments, as well as just going out to dinner or shopping or to have fun
