I've been a CNA for 20 year's.I love doing what I do,i so get Senior's and get along very well with them.I really owe it all to my Parent's who instilled in me to alway's Respect your elder's.My father was really proud of me for being in this line of work.I did a lot for him up until he passed{2012}.I have received award's in Dementia/Alzheimer care,outstanding caregiver and employee of the month.I have learned a lot in my 20 year's and still learning.My client's show me every day how blessed i'am.

I am a Registered Medical Assistant with a current BLS/AED certification, Bachelors Degree in health administration, and a long term care certificate. With 12 years of experience working in health care. I'm proud to confess my love for assisting those in need. My joy comes from seeing smiling faces and hearing laughter. Charismatic, caring, and calm. My passion for health care first blossomed at the age of 10 where I learned how to assist with caring for my disabled older sister. Caring for my sister took a lot of time and patience, just as it does with the elderly population. The more knowledge and experience l've gained over the years, the more my passion has grown.

I have always enjoyed caring for people. It is the biggest reason I became a nurse. I have been working and continue to work in an acute care setting where I have gained alot of experience and expanded my skills with high acuity patients. On my unit we can take any adult patient but the majority of the patients we receive are geriatric. I really enjoy taking care of the elderly population. I am very easy going and understanding . I think I bring a calming presence to most patients especially in times they feel most vulnerable.

I am from TN. I got my CNA license in 2009. I worked with the same client from 2009-2016 In August 2016 I moved to MI. I started nursing school at Lansing community college. I work in clients homes now. I love my job and love helping others!

A few things about me and my role as a caregiver are that I'm friendly, kind, compassionate, understanding, and hard working. For 10 years, I have worked as a caregiver under two professional services, ROI in Michigan and Help-at- Home in Northwest Indiana. The services that I've performed include transportation, personal assistance, physician advocate, medication disbursement, life-skills assistance to people, of all ages, with a variety of physical and mental abilities. Credentials include behavioral, CPR, and First Aid training. I am passionate about caring for those in need giving a helping hand. Knowing I could make a difference in their life and seeing a smile on their face brings joy and purpose to my life! What inspired me to get into caregiving was my Grandma. In the beginning, she just needed help with little things. Then, as time passed she needed all around care. It felt good to help her. I saw a need that I knew I could fulfill, not only for her, but others too. A personal achievement that I am most proud of was becoming an APC (Assistant Program Coordinator). I had applied 2 other times and didnt get the job. I had to build more skills and fight harder for it and the people I loved to help. I am thankful for the experience it has helped me to be a better caregiver.

I'am a 30 years of age and I have lots of experience working as a caregiver and home health aide. I've worked in facilities as well in homes. I'm familiar with taking vitals, using hoyer lifts, giving bed baths, working with clients with spinal cord injuries, paralyzed, hospice patients, patients with catheters and more. I have a passion for helping others and working with those who need care. I recently just participated in a phlebotomy technician program and I'm going to continue to further my education in the health field.

I am a great caregiver because I love my clients! I am interested in their lives and what they love to do as much as I am interested in their well-being. I have worked as a caregiver for about two years now, I started as an home health aide the moment I turned eighteen. It's something I really have loved doing and love continuing to do.
