I started my career in Health Care right out of High school. I have over 20 years experience. I have worked Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Hospice. With that I have seen a lot & been taught by some amazing leaders. I go into each home with the attitude of this could be my Parent/ Grandparent, Treat them as how i would want my family cared for. My favorite thing about being a caregiver is the history of my patents. It brings so much joy to see them smile and relive there favorite memories of the past. I held my Certified Nursing assistant license for many years & only gave it up when I choose to not work in Nursing Homes. I keep up with all the latest training & have many certificates.

My name is samantha i go by sam i am 31 years young and i have experience in home care and in an assisted living home including dementia certification, trach and vent training, ability to use a hoyer lift, bathing, cooking, cleaning, sponge bath, turning, ive even put a catheter in before, med dispense, also amongst other things. I used to care for mother untill she passed away she had ALS i watched her through every stage and by the end of it she was vent dependent. I enjoy working in home care because it feels good to help others and use my knowledge for good. I have my own vehicle and i already work a full time job as a resident assistant in an assisted living facility.I am currently looking for something part time.

The care my grandfather received before passing with cancer is what inspired me to become a care aide. The girls were so passionate and became like family during his care. I've been an aide for over 10 years now. I started in Michigan as a CNA in an adult foster care home, did some facility work, tried home care, then found my employment with Promedica at the Goerlich Center which I absolutely love! I have experience in many aspects of the health field (tracheotomies, colostomies, feeding tubes, oxygen, etc). My favorite part of being an aide is being there for the patient when family can't be there. I have a calming and reassuring effect on most Alzheimer's and Dementia patients.
