What makes me a great caregiver to me are I will go above and beyond for my residents a are whomever I work for. I am a perfectionist down to the last detail. What 1st attracted me to being a caregiver was my Grandmother she was an LPN up until her 2nd Surgery and was very proud of beinging an LPN. What solidified my beinging a caregiver are a CNA was my oldest son which put me in the role early on of becoming a caregiver He was had to have several surgeries do to a rare Gastrointestinal situation which caused him to be on An IV at all times, a feeding tube and a colostomy Bag for while but not anymore he is 16 now and will be celebrating 17 years of life in 6 month with none of the above. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is simply just the pure love of being able to help someone out period. Being able to see my 1st patient my oldest son see 16 and knowing it was partly my aiding in his care that got him to this milestone in his life is my personal achievement.

I am a certified nursing assistant in Missouri and in Kansas With my Medication Aide License, and my Cpr and First aid certificate. I became a caregiver for many reasons 1 from coming from a famity full of nurses and 2 I love helping people and being there for people and giving the best care To them. I also love the care that I provide And love to see the people's lives that I touch by being so passionate and caring in their time of need. I work with clients with Dementia and Alzheimers and others who just need help with their daily living and activities. I provide Bathing, Cooking, Cleaning, Laundry, Medication set up And Making sure all Medications are taking as needed, Errands also are provided as needed. I have many areas I'm familiar with doing in this field. I have a current back ground check as well and you may do your own as well. I have references as well. Thank you again

I was a caregiver to a quadriplegic professor when I was in college to help pay for my tuition. After college, I continued doing private care on the side for some Alzheimer patients at a nursing home. In 2004, I enrolled at a nursing school for a year and a half. I did not finish my degree, but I did receive my certification as a CNA and as a Medication Technician. I keep up to date with the newest discoveries and findings in the world of medicine. Even though I have not had any new medical training, I am current on my knowledge of diseases, medications and side effects of such medications. For instance, I am aware that when you care for an Alzheimer's patient, you step into his/her world, and not insist that he/she conforms to your expectations of what is real. I am compassionate and capable. All of the kids are either all grown or almost grown, but I still have this vast need to nurture. My husband refuses to be smothered, so, I need to go out of the house and find someone else who would appreciate being cared for :-) My kids are my biggest accomplishment. The eldest is going to medical school this summer, and the middle one is attending UMKC in August. The youngest one is doing great as a Sophomore while giving out just enough sass to maintain her teenage status.

Growing up I have always been very interested in helping people for their daily living. I am kind, gentle, and very compassionate person. What attracted me to being a caregiver was generally to help people and advocate for people. What enjoy most about being a caregiver is to be able help people in their sickness and you see how their health improves. One of my personal achievements is to be able to graduate from school, proud of that.

Am a very patient,compassionate,dependable and trustworthy person. My passion of taking care of people and babies led me to this field and i enjoy making someone smile by helping where possible. I enjoy being able to help people get back their health and live comfortably with all the assists and help i can provide. Iam able to use hoyer lift and a sit to stand lift, I have done end of life care. I know how to do drip feeding tube and colonascopy bags, and a wide variety of things. I am also willing to learn anything else . I am a people person and enjoy giving the elderly a quality of life while they live in their personal homes! Ive always had a passion to want to work in with elderly people and disabled.
