Hello & I hope you're doing well. My name is Mare & I was born and raised in Charlotte North Carolina. My interest in care giving began in 1982 when I gave birth to my daughter. Tiffany was born @ CMC w/ no right kidney & only a piece of a left kidney. That's when my caregiving actually began, however I had always wanted to be a nurse. Tiffany had several episodes of heart failure, as well as many seizures. I took the opportunity to learn as much as possible in order to help her in every way I could. Tiffany and I were referred to The Children's Hospital of Alabama where I was taught how to perform peritoneal dialysis. I treated her with paritoneal dialysis in my home for approximately one year. At that time, doctors decided she had to have a transplant. At 18 months, Tiffany was given one of my kidneys. She was put on a great deal of medications and there was a lot of care given to her over her lifespan of 28 years. After Tiffany's passing, I followed my interest in caregiving by working at a hospital as well as an assisted living company. I am a very friendly, patient & caring person who has been taught how to deescalate issues if they arise. I'm also a great listener which makes me believe I am a great companion for those who need it. I would enjoy meeting you and your loved one to see if I can help with their care. Being able to empathize allows me to put myself in patient shoes, and identify and ease the patients fears and discomfort. Having passion for what I do allows me to be the best caregiver that I can possibly be. I love my job. I genuinely care for my patients and people who are in need. I'm constantly looking for ways to improve my job performance ultimately, to make the lives of each patient the best it can possibly be. Having traits such as honesty and trustworthiness are are indispensable qualities everyone should have. Especially when in the homes of others. There will be many hurdles along the way when caring for different patients. Having patience's and being flexible will allow me plenty of opportunities in the field of nursing.

Being a caregiver definitely has its ups and downs but I believe it's so much more rewarding than some people think. Being able to build a bond with someone you care for is very important. Making sure the person knows I actually care for them is what I strive for, just to see the smile on someone's face and know that I've made them feel good for at least a few moments!

I am 30 years old, I have been working as a cna since 2011. I enjoy my line of work because I love working with elderly and I've worked long term care since I was certified. The residents become family I treat them just as I would want my loved ones treated. I find this job very important and it's very important to be on time and dependable so their isn't any mishaps with the care your loved one needs.

I am a very outgoing caring person. I have an AAS degree in human services technology I am currently a PCA .I truly enjoy helping other whether they are young or old .I have worked several years working with individuals with mental health issues and children with different social difficulties. My personal achievement that I'm most proud of is seeing some of the people whom I worked with performing and doing things that others said they were unable or do and they tell me that they were thankful for me being a part of their lives.
