I have always been a caregiver, taking care of my grandparents, my aunt before she was transferred to a nursing facility. My aunt had numerous health issues. I also took care of my husband, he had two major surgeries last year, he had to learn to walk again. During the process of caring for my husband, I realized that I enjoy helping people and I resigned from law enforcement and I am currently working as a caregiver part-time for Comfort Keepers of Florence SC since November of last year. I'm proud to say that I took good care of my husband and he is getting stronger every day, caregiving gives me the opportunity to give back to our seniors, I enjoy putting a smile on their faces. I started helping taking care of her and realized that I enjoyed being a friendly face for her on a daily. That I am able to understand different people and their struggles but I can help them be able to still enjoy life and smile. I have been able to help several family memebers with different cancers, lupus,and different diseases that i enable them to do things for themselves anymore. I feel as I am making their days better.

Well I've beening do this type of work since I was 15 do to my aunt being in a wheel chair before I even new what it was called so u guess that's why I love what I do it comes so naturally cause I love that I can make a difference and put a smile on someones. Face I love my field of work.
