Hello, I've been a CNA for 18 years and love every bit of it. I love taking care of people and being able to provide companionship to people. I am always positive and upbeat. I'm dependable. I love the fact that I'm appreciated and I like the feeling I get that I've helped someone who needs me. I would like to open my own personal care home one day.

I would say my expertise of me being a caregiver is that I'm patient , kind & show respect to the client and their families. Providing quality care is my goal. What attracted me to being a caregiver is that I had the pleasure of help taking care of my great grandmother and my great great grandmother up until god called them home. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I can provide help to those in need . Knowing that I'm making a difference in someone's life who is in need makes me feel good .

I belive that everyone needs some kind of care ,some more than others but we all do.I love to help i honestly believe that nursing is my calling im always smiling and my heart is big. I have lots of patience and enjoy what i do ,its self rewarding

I would be a great caregiver because I worked and love my elderly people.. Without them I wouldn't be where I am now. I moved here in NC to help take care of my grandma when I was 12. I've learned lots of things from my grandma..Took care of her til she was 101 years old. My mom and sisters all are in the nursing field and that's what attracted me to being a care giver. The most I enjoy being a caregiver is meeting new people, talking to them and most of all getting to listen to all the stories they lived when they was little. A kind smile or a pat on your back of a job well done.. Not to mention when they ask you Are you coming back ? Is a stamp of approval for me that it was a very good day and a job well done.

I was the caregiver/caretaker for both of my parents. In the beginning, my mom had several, health issues. I thought at the time, I would get involve and take her to her doctors appointments and learn all I could to encourage and to better able to assist her, in living healthier. So we changed her diet and I helped her in preparing meals and other activities. Several years later, my mom was diagnosed with dementia. I didn't know then, the rolls of mother and daughter would change. For the next 18 years, I became her full-time caregiver. Although; it was extremely overwhelming at times, I knew no one would ever take care of mom like I would. Moreover; my personal achievement in taking care of her and preparing meals; she did not succumb to any of the complications of diabetes, which happens to many people with the disease. Although my dad didn't have as many health issues as my mom, he was older. He didn't have dementia and he lived to the age of 94. I'm dependable, patient and very compassionate.
