I enjoy caring for people & I am great at it! I have worked with geriatrics, infants, children, quadriplegic, amputees, & many more people with multiple issues. I have worked as a PCA, certified Medical Assistant, & volunteered in nursing homes. I have a lot of experience within this field for what ever help is needed. I have lived in Arizona since 2003, born & raised in Minnesota. Technical college diploma 2003, certification test completed in 2010, & 12 years working in a clinical setting. Pediatrics, geriatrics, & family practices.

I am patient, compassionate, attentive, reliable, and trustworthy. I enjoy feeling needed and being able to help those who can no longer fully care for themselves. Being able to put a smile on someone's face and knowing I've made a difference in their life is a true blessing. I have been a caregiver since 2015. Hello! My name is Deanna, I also go by Dee. All together I have five years of caregiving experience. I helped variety of people such as, disabled elders/special needs, people who had Tracheotomy, alzheimers, and dementia. People with alzheimers and dementia I only have 1 year experience with, so I wouldn't say it's my strong suit, but willing to grow in that area. I am a very understanding, and accepting person. It's a quality I really love about myself. I became a caregiver, because I wanted my work to have meaning. I do enjoy getting to know someone on a deep level and providing laughter. My first job was a caregiver, and I don't think I'd feel comfortable doing anything else. I am currently an in-home caregiver, and looking to branch out.

I have always been interested in working with the elderly and disabled. I specifically sought out a degree in psychology to further help myself in this field. I am a very compassionate person and I've always loved to help when needed. Growing up my mother had multiple on going health issues that I had to help with. You can say I've always been a natural caregiver. When I was in high school I cared for my mother through many back surgeries and even cancer. Once I graduated high school I became a full time caregiver being that I had previous experience and it was a great fit for me. Knowing that I can make someone else's life a little easier by providing care and companionship is a very rewarding feeling. Once I care for someone it's only natural for me to care for them like family. No one should have to worry about have proper care. Individuals should be able to stay at home and be comfortable and still live as independently as possible with the necessary care. I have worked with children and adults with a range or mental and physical disabilities mild to severe ranging from autism, strokes, dementia, epilepsy, intellectual disabilities, schizophrenia/bi-polar, and the blind. I am also a Foster parent but do not currently house children.

I love to help people, I feel I was born to do so, I want to be the person for you to help with your mother, father, brother,sister, or even child. I love to inspire the person in need to be ok with how they are or if possible get them to do small things on their own again. What I enjoy most about being a caregivers is when my client feels comfortable with me and their family as well, I once had a client who had a stroke, she hadn't left her bed in years before I started caring for her, a few months of caring for her and she was walking through her home and even checking her own mail box again. Im super proud of her for accomplishing such a large step. Things like that inspire me to keep going and helping those in need.
