I attended University of Phoenix online and obtained my Associates Degree in Healthcare Administration while working full time at IBM and raising my three daughters. After 10 years at IBM I went on to work with developmental and intellectually disabled adults for a few years and from there I went on to Home Health Care where I was also assigned hospice cases. I've had very personal experiences while helping care for my father after he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. If you would like to know more please feel free to reach out to me. I'm a mother of two amazing children. I'm a very patient and caring person who has a lot of experience assisting individuals with their daily routines. I first got into the field through my cousin who worked with mentally and physically challenged individuals of all ages when I was younger. I did that for many years and loved it. I then moved into early childhood education and worked for Headstart and a few daycare businesses. I started working specifically with seniors when my grandmother unfortunately became ill and I was one of her caregivers until she passed away. Since then I've worked in the field and have met a lot of incredible people. Sometimes I have to go from individual to individual depending on the company I'm working for and have always had good compliments and have always been requested back by them because of my outstanding job performance. My kids are getting older and I'm able to focus more on my career now. I look forward to meeting future clients and being able to assist them in anyway I possibly can to make things a little less stressful and to put a smile on their face.

Hello my name is Simone , I've been a caregiver for about 13 years , I first started out caring for my mother that unexpectedly gotten sick which led me to wanting to provide care for others , what I enjoy about being a care giver is being able to just comfort my clients and making their day better that they forget about their problems . What makes me a great caregiver is being a good listener, providing great service to my clients such as keeping them safe , making sure all their needs are met before I leave them .

What makes me a great caregiver is that my sister has been a paraplegic my whole life and as a child I had to learn proper care for her as she is in a wheelchair so when my father got diagnosed with leukemia I was ready to be able to care for him properly. I am a respectful happy hard working person that enjoys my profession because I learn something new every day weather it's a bout life or a funny joke and get to take it home with me.

I have been employed by the state of New York,for 27 yrs.I have worked 14 years for the OFFICE OF PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES And 13 years for the OFFICE OF MENTAL HEALTH,as direct care staff. I am now retired but I continue to do what I do best,which is helping others. I am now a Personal care aide. Looking for private care clients.
