I have worked in Health Care for for 28 years ,, its all I know , and I can not think of doing anything else ; I love my Job at a Nursing Home in Baldwinsville NY ,,I am looking to "branch out " into something new !! something that is the future in Health Care, and the Carelinx company looks like that to me .

I started out my journey in the healthcare field because of my sick mother. I was amazed at how at ease she was having people come into her home and help her with things so that she could remain at home. I decided then that I wanted to help people be able to stay in their home and live a normal life.

I am a people person. I'm a quick learner and outgoing. I am a single mother to a son. I love being a caregiver because I enjoy helping people and knowing I make a difference in people's lives.

I have been a certified HHA for 5 years, Also Certified Medical Assistant. Currently working as private duty HHA and have so since March 2017. I am empathic, kind, loving caregiver. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is listening to their stories, putting a smile on their face, lending an ear a hand or mostly a hug. My personal acheivement was passing a the Certified Medical Assistant exam after being in class full of 20 yr olds! LOL

I am a 50yr young lady...lol. With a great sense of humor. I have over 20+yrs experience in the health care field and I have enjoyed just about every minute of it. Between my husband and myself we have 5 great kids and 15 wonderful grandchildren. I enjoy spending my time loving and taking care of other's. It gives me great pride and comfort to know that when I go to sleep that I have given love, care, compassion, and joy to everyone around me. Weather it family, friends or a complete stranger. I take pride in the things I do and the people care for, and at the end of the day if I made someone else day brighter, easier, or put a smile on someone's face then I feel proud and completely satisfied. 1. What makes me like a great caregiver is that I treat my patient like my own family, I always to my mind that taking my patient is like I'm also taking care of my family 2. I love doing caregiving because it is my passion to take care of them, love them and give them the needs they needed, 3. I enjoyed most being caregiver is that being able to handle the behavior your patient is giving to you and yet you find your self it is very interesting and you still love your patient. It's like loving them with out asking for return to love you back 4. Personal achievement I am proud of is that I was able to stay calm in times of emergency when my patient oxygen sat went down to 52%, when shes having difficulty in breathing, she became cyanotic or become blue and I was doing a back percussion to her, her breathing went back to normal, (Ps. She had most form so I couldn't able to do CPr- that's why back percussion was applied)

Ever since a little girl, I have always had a passion working with the elders. I have been working as a certified nurse assistant for roughly 6. 5 months where I had the amazing opportunity to make a difference. Previously working in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, I have learned many skills and tasks. I have experience with all ADL's; personal care, transferring, ambulatory and many more. I have experience with dementia and Alzheimer's, catheters, feeding tubes I have recently started working as a home health aid. I'm willing to do light house cleaning along with meal preparation. My experience in in home care has been the most rewarding as it allows the senior to remain in their own home. I have very compassionate and I enjoy working with elders
