I started out in this field just looking for a change in my career. I never thought I would get as much joy and satisfaction as I do helping those who can not help themselves. The best part of being in this field has got to be the bond and trust that grows not only between the client and myself, but the family as well. Getting to see your client make progress in things you've watched them struggle with. Or the smile that comes across their face when they're telling you stories of things they've experienced.

While I love my job, I am looking to re-enter the work force outside of my home. I have Senior care in my past work history as well. what makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I put my whole heart and soul into what I do. I treat my patients like family, not like a job. I first started caregiving at the age of 16. My mother was a caregiver and I helped her. I knew then that this is what I wanted to do. I love being a caregiver because if I can give my best for them and care is always from my heart. All of my jobs have been with my clients to end of life care with Hospice involved. Knowing that someone is with them through it all .
