Hi I have been in this field for 5 years now .I love what I do ,and get a joy out of putting a smile on somebody face while helping.Not only do they need me I need them as well.I work hard and make sure the job is done.i am honored to be a caregiver it's the best.

Am a very happy person, so I always make sure my clients are happy. I joke around with them, and do funny dance. It's my way of showing them love and care, No matter how their situation is. I became a caregiver to make a difference in people's life. Cause I believe it's a blessing to care for people who need help in anyways that you can, either with money or with love. since I don't have the money to do so, I chose to make a difference in peoples lives with the only thing I have a lot to give, which is LOVE. I enjoy seeing my clients being clean, happy and loved. My achievements was working with a lady who fell into depression following the death of her only remaining son, who had some type of rare cancer, but didn't think he was going to die,while she was also in the hospital recovering from hip replacement.I walked into her and her grandchildren's life Three weeks after the son's death. I was assigned to work with her to recuperate from her surgery, but I ended up being like a therapist to the family. And thanks be to God, her depression, was very well controlled with medication, and We became very good friends. So to me I think, that's was my greatest achievement And am always grateful and proud of that .

I love being a caregiver because I enjoy helping others I dont look at this as Just my job when I go home I feel like I actually did something productive for the day. I have been a caregiver off and on for 13 yrs and I love it!

I have been state tested since graduating high school. I am a mother of 4 and a wife of 13 yrs. I love working with patients and their family. I am very well at leaving my personal life at the door and being able to enjoy my day at work. Caring for people is all I know how to do. I just have to be able to be a parent as well with schools being done at home so can't do the long shifts of working in a nursing home. I take as many extra learning as can to help enhance my certification . I'm very easy to get along with and as flexible as needed. I have worked in home health, hospitals, as well as Nursing homes. My patients happiness means a lot to me or how the family thinks of me so always try to do my best. I have always liked helping people which is why I chose this field right out of high school. I have always kept my certification in good standing I've had my certification since 2001 and still on state registry with no complaints ever on my care. I have Been a personal care aide for the past four years and I love every aspect of my job. What made me gain interest in this field of work was when i first started to do child care for a family I knew back in my home town. I worked every summer for 3 summers straight for the family. Soon after i decided to become a certified childcare provider in the town of Hudson NY. Ive always loved caring for others so my interest grew outside of just childcare and i soon begin to take up companionship and Personal care and ever since then i stuck with it. I love every bit of my job even the days that are tough on both caregiver and client I always put their needs first. I make sure my clients receives the best care and more under my watch. Each and everyone of them i go above and beyond for and they deserve not just the basic care but the best. I just wanted to add a few updates. I am also now a certified phlebotomy technician, EKG Tech and also a Patient care technician.

What Makes me a good caregiver is my ability to show empathy ,I enjoy my job and this is what I want to do. I've been an STNA for 11 years. I decided to become an STNA because I have a soft spot for people but elders the most. I Never grew up with my own Grandparents so My resident's I work with becomes extended family. Too many people are in this field for the wrong reasons and I want to be the reason why a lot of elders smile again or comfortable again. It'll show in my work

I have been a caregiver 30+ yrs (prior to agencies) cared for my dad, then aunt,while working full time (77-90) began thru agencies after retirement. 2006 - 2016. I also operated an in-home daycare from 2001-2006. I have a care givers spirit and love it!
